Preparation for your "some day" Sprinkler System

Congratulations! So you are building, or thinking of, in the near future?!
Yes, there are a actually a few things you MAY want to do.
Firstly, your Builder may have provided an option of a PRE-PLUMBED SPRINKLER SYSTEM. This entails running additional plumbing, utilizing a separate shut-off valve (located inside your home). The cost factor may, then, be built INTO your mortgage by a mere dollar, or two, per month.
If your Builder does NOT provide this option, we would certainly enjoy the opportunity of BIDDING such on your behalf. MAGIC RAIN is licensed, bonded and insured in the majority of our local communities.
Secondly, another facet is that you MAY want to utilize is to request 1" copperwork for your water (rather than the standard 3/4"). Either work well. However, the 1" copper will provide, of course, a greater volume of flow for your sprinkler system.
Thirdly, it would definitly be to your benefit to make a request to your Builder to allow a PVC pipe to be placed across your driveway BEFORE the concrete is poured (either via your Concrete Contractor, or yourself).
The standard recommendation is a 2" in diameter (or 3") PVC Pipe (Schedule Class 40) by "slightly wider" than the width of your driveway. This PVC pipe should may be placed MIDWAY between your home and the street. Please be sure to TAKE NOTE as to the placement of your conduit sleeve.
This one TIP alone may SAVE YOU the greater expense of hiring a Contractor who will need to bore beneath your driveway. Sidewalk bores are minimal time. Your driveway, however, is much more labor & time extensive.
The PVC conduit may, as well, may AID you in preparation for "other items" down the road (i.e. low voltage electrical lighting, a fireplace gas line, etc.).
PVC pipe may be purchased at your local HOME IMPROVEMENT store.
Fourthly: MAGIC RAIN has many years of experience installing and utilizing SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS should you have a lake in which you may draw from.

When should I phone MAGIC RAIN for an Estimate?
It is ESSENTIAL that you have a landscape layout first. EACH system is individually designed. As an example, for lawn installation only, we are going to design such coming directly "off of" your bed placements (perimeter).
If of interest, to provide an Optional Estimate for Micro Irrigation, we are also going to need to know what type of shrubs, and/or plantings are being placed where.

My Builder has installed the PVC pipe and the concrete is being poured this week. How soon can I schedule MAGIC RAIN there to start our installation?
New home building is always so exciting. Concrete pouring of driveways are normally one of those final steps before you're soon able to move in. Congratulations! Depending on the depth of the concrete and current weather conditions, you will need advisement from your Builder (or Concrete Subcontractor) as to the recommended cure time. MAGIC RAIN will be placing some of your sprinkler heads as close a spossible to the edge of your driveway. We do not wish to VOID any concrete warranties that you have.
